Branding & Marketing Resource Manager
Chris Bryant joined the Office of Public Affairs in August 2022 as the branding and marketing resource manager. In this role, he serves on the team responsible for the university’s marketing and branding activities. He previously worked with Mississippi State University’s Raspet Flight Research Laboratory as a technical writer, and he also coordinated the lab’s public relations’ efforts.
Prior to joining MSU, Bryant worked with the University of Alabama for 25 years, serving as a senior communications specialist, assistant director of media relations and director of research communications. The university research magazine Bryant edited won a Council for Advancement and Support of Education District III Award of Excellence, and he was a member of a communications team that won a CASE National Gold Award for news and media relations.
Bryant has experience as a daily newspaper reporter and columnist for the Dothan (Ala.) Eagle and served as the sports editor of The Leeds (Ala.) News while in college. He attended Itawamba Community College and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Bryant and his wife, Dawn, have two sons, Jackson and Noah. He enjoys worshipping at Double Branch Baptist Church in Gordo, Ala., spending time with his family and watching college sports.
